Meiosis produce cells which have half the number of chromosomes and are
not exactly the same.Meiosis only occurs in reproductive organs where the
products have to be genetically different.
As with mitosis you start with a cell with the chromosomes in the nucleus.
The chromosomes line in in the center, in meiosis there are 2 cell divisions,
in the first division the chromosome pairs line up in the center.
The chromosome pairs are pulled apart then the cell divides.
