ideas are given below to help you.

If you need to, use the internet to help you. Remember information texts can

presented in a variety of different ways:

1. headings/sub-headings

2. clear paragraphs

3.maps/diagrams

4. drawings / photographs

 

1. Inform about an event happening
soon in your community
2. Inform about a current issue at your school
1. Inform about a type of animal you like
2. Inform about a new building opening near you e.g museum

 

 

Activity 5 – To Recount


Recount non-fiction texts are always in past tense this is because they are

recounting something, remembering something so it has to be from the past,

something that has already happened.

 

Examples are: biographies, autobiographies, reviews.

Below is an example for you to look at.

  Title1. This is key, it lets the reader know exactly what the
text is about.
2. It should be short and clear – to the point.
  Information1. This section of the text can be presented in many
different ways depending on what sort of text you
are producing.
2. However it is presented (bullet points, paragraph,
sub-headings) it needs to be clear and easy to
follow.
3. You are recounting something so make sure that
your writing is all in the past tense.
