Definition :

A noun is a naming word. You can use nouns to name people, places or things.

 

Example :

My teacher takes my books for marking at home.

 

Explanation :

My teacher is used to talk about a person so therefore this is a noun. 

Homework is a thing, therefore it is a noun. Home is a place, so this is also

a noun.

Pick out the odd noun.

Rubber is the odd noun out. This is because you can write with the others.

Television is also an odd noun because we read a book, leaflet or newspaper.
