01 / Who This Is For

Who Science tuition in Batley helps.

Parents looking for a Science tutor in Batley usually come to us when they notice one of these:

  • They revise hard, but the marks aren’t movingThe effort is there. The grades aren’t following.
  • They can recall the facts, but lose marks on applicationThe 6-mark questions and longer Biology answers don’t come together.
  • An exam is on the horizonGCSE Combined or Triple Science, or A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics is coming up.
  • The maths in Physics or Chemistry is the real blockerEquations, rearranging, moles, or graphs throw them.
  • Practical questions and required practicals confuse themThey know the theory, but the practical and analysis questions cost them marks.
02 / What May Be Happening

Same low mark. Different cause.

Two children can get the same Science score for completely different reasons.

  • One may know the content but struggle to apply it in unfamiliar contexts.
  • Another may be held back by weak maths in Physics or Chemistry — rearranging, units, percentages.
  • A third may write fluently but miss the command words in 6-mark questions.

More revision guides won’t fix a problem we haven’t named yet.

03 / Free Assessment

Name the real gap before lessons begin.

The assessment is a short, guided Science check — done in person at our Batley centre, or online.

By the end, we can tell you exactly where the breakdown is happening — whether it’s Biology recall, Chemistry maths, Physics application, or exam technique.

04 / How tuition follows

After the assessment, tuition follows the plan.

The assessment shows what to fix first. Your child’s Science tutor then works from that plan — not a generic worksheet pack. Our DBS-checked Science tutors follow the assessment plan, so your child gets targeted lessons — not random revision guides or exam paper marathons.

  • Secure the foundations — content recall, key definitions, and the maths underpinning Physics and Chemistry.
  • Build exam marks — 6-mark questions, command words, required practicals, and the confidence to attempt them.
05 / Before You Decide

What you’ll know by the end.

  • A clear picture of where your child is in Science.
  • The specific topics or skills that need work first.
  • A recommended tuition plan — if it would actually help.
  • No pressure to continue either way.
06 / Questions

The questions parents ask most.

Is the Science assessment really free?

Yes. There is no payment to book the assessment and no obligation to take tuition afterwards. We use it to find your child's Science gaps and explain the clearest next step before any paid lessons begin.

What if I do not know what my child needs?

That is exactly what the assessment is for. Many parents know their child is losing marks in Science but cannot tell whether the cause is content recall, application, exam technique, or weak underlying Maths for Physics and Chemistry. We find the gap before recommending anything.

Do you cover Combined Science and Triple Science at GCSE?

Yes. We support both routes — GCSE Combined Science (AQA Trilogy and equivalent double awards) and GCSE Triple Science (separate GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics). Tuition is matched to your child's specification and tier.

Do you cover Biology, Chemistry and Physics separately at A Level?

Yes. We tutor A Level Biology, A Level Chemistry and A Level Physics as separate subjects, including required practicals and exam-board specifications.

What happens after the assessment?

We explain what your child can do securely, where the Science gaps are, and what needs to be fixed first. If tuition is suitable, we recommend the clearest next step and how lessons would work.

How do lessons work?

Lessons start from the gaps found in the assessment, not a generic worksheet pack. A qualified teacher guides the plan and our DBS-checked Science tutors deliver focused lessons. Pace is set by your child's understanding, not a timetable.

How much does Science tuition cost?

Primary, KS3 and GCSE Science tuition starts from £14.50 per hour in a group of 4–5, £22.50 in a small group of 2–3, or £39.50 one-to-one. A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics are taught one-to-one from £45 per hour — exact rate confirmed after the free assessment.
