General Rule:
The general rule is to add -s is you use he/she/it
 But sometimes you have to add -es / -ies
 For words ending in -s/-ch/-sh, you add -es
 Example: pass -> passes, church -> churches, rush -> rushes
 For words ending in -y, you remove the -y and add -ies
 Example: cry -> cries, fry -> fries, study -> studies
 Others:
 Example: do -> does, have -> has, go -> goes

 

Other examples:

 

John lives in a big house.
Her parents live in American.
His daughter likes chocolate cake.
My brother reads the Harry Potter books.

These words are known as adverbs of frequency which tells you how often something occurs.You can use these words followed by the present simple to form sentences.
